Jadeite jade and nephrite jade are two different types of jade that have unique properties and characteristics. Let's talk about the differences between Jadeite Jade vs Nephrite Jade in detail!

Jadeite is a harder and denser type of jade and is considered the rarer of the two. It comes in a wider range of colors, including white, green, lavender, pink, red, brown, and yellow. The most valuable and sought-after jadeite is the translucent emerald green variety known as "imperial jade." Jadeite is found mainly in Myanmar (formerly known as Burma), although smaller deposits have been found in Guatemala, Japan, and the United States.

Nephrite, on the other hand, is a softer and less dense type of jade. It is typically found in shades of green, but can also be white, gray, black, and yellow. Nephrite has a more "earthy" appearance and is often used for carvings and sculptures. Nephrite is found in many regions around the world, including China, Russia, Canada, New Zealand, and the United States.

Both types of jade have been used for centuries in jewelry, decorative objects, and religious artifacts. The cultural significance and symbolism of jade vary across different regions and cultures, but it is generally regarded as a symbol of purity, protection, and good luck.
