Our crystal pineapples are carved from a unique juicy yellow Calcite material trademarked as Honeycomb Calcite!
Honeycomb Calcite was first discovered by Floyd Anderson in 1995 and is mined exclusively out of Utah. The material is believed to have formed about 500 million years ago below sea level, and is now at ten thousand five hundred feet in the high Uinta Mountains. Honeycomb Calcite is used as countertops, tiles, etc as the material itself carries a density greater than concrete or granite. Much of this material is exported out to Italy and China as well as many of other countries around the world.
Air Plant Care Tips
- air plants do not require soil
- soak air plants in water for 20 minutes once a week and pat dry before returning the plant to the crystal pineapple
- if the roots become too much, they can be trimmed
